First International Afro-Descents Connect Conference ADN

ADN brought together a diverse panel (political, economic, community actors and social partners from Canada and several African countries on October 30, 2021 to discuss the opportunities and impact of COVID-19 on African economies.

The Afro-descendants Connect idea

Africa Development Network (ADN) has the mission of identifying, mobilizing, and connecting African and Caribbean intelligence and skills around unifying cultural and socio-economic projects within the specific framework of the FedDev project which aims to recruit through this type workshop as many pre-incubates, incubates and entrepreneurs as possible in order to expand its network of experts and mentors.

  • The very first Afro-descendants Connect

The first Afro-descents Connect took place on October 30, 2020 and had a rich and multicultural panel. We had the chance to welcome Canadian authorities such as:

  • Honorable Minister Hassan Hussein
  • Greg Fergus Parliamentary Secretary
  • MP Chandra Arya
  • Ruth Acheng Dean of Ambassador.Uganda
  • The Ambassador of Gabon, Mr Sosthene Ngokila
  • Advisor to the President of the Republic of Congo, Madame Chantal Mulombo
  • And many other entrepreneurs and authorities which you can see in the attached poster.

As a result, this event had a community aim, bringing together and recognizing committed actors and leaders within our communities.
